Stackable on the outside and a billion tiny air bubbles on the inside, a bale of straw is a golden building block.  It's and all in one package of insulation, structure and beauty--both in the raw and once the plaster goes on. I'm always sorry to see the golden straw walls go, but then delighted to see the new plastered walls and forms emerge.

Bale work is the installing, notching, cutting and shaping of bales in order to build solid, dense and stunning walls of straw. This work happens after the bale carpentry and electrical has been installed but before the windows go in and the plaster goes on.

We offer bale work services in two ways. We will install the bales, complete the bale work and prepare the walls for plastering. We will also work with you and crew to do this and provide quality control at the same time.
