construction with bales notched around the frame, cement-lime plaster.

hemp bale work, plastering prep. and plastering. Features: Modified
post-and-beam framing, local hemp bales from Moorcroft Hemp Farms, cement-lime plaster, in-floor radiant heat, acid wash
on concrete slab floor, used windows and doors.

House, Orillia, ON. Deirdre worked as a contractor
for builder Havencraft Natural Homes for 10 weeks doing bale carpentry, installing flashing, bale work and trim carpentry.
Features: Post-and-beam framing with bale infill, cathedral
ceiling, arched ceiling in hallway, geothermal heating, acid washed finish on concrete floor.
